Cookies are a reliable and proven method of tracking affiliate referrals, and they work great. But what if an affiliate refers someone to you who:
- Signs up for your newsletter at the office
- Then goes home and reads your newsletter on a different computer
- Makes a purchase on the home computer
There’d be no way to track the sale to your affiliate to give them credit . . . until now! With subscriber tracking, when anyone on your lists makes a purchase from you the system matches their email address to the affiliate who referred them to you in the first place. So if there’s no cookie – no problem. Your affiliate still gets credit.
